This
charming rose was discovered in Caldwell, Texas and some rose experts
believe that it is actually Pink Pet. Whatever its identity,
it is a profuse bloomer, rarely touched by disease and covered most
of the time with double lilac-pink blooms. It is a not a tall grower
(about 3') but growth can be restrained even further by hard pruning.
New growth in the spring is an attractive burgundy color. It is such
a mannerly grower and dependable bloomer that it is perfect for the
front of a border or near a patio where it can be enjoyed throughout
the summer. Unfortunately, it has no fragrance but that is the only
negative aspect about this tough and durable rose.
