I don't
grow many hybrid teas now but I do miss Chicago Peace. It
is a sport of the famous Peace rose and was discovered in a
Chicago garden. The color of the blooms vary with climate and no two
blooms seem to be the same but they usually display a vibrant pink
tinged with apricot and yellow. The foliage is a tough leathery dark
green. Although listed as a zone 6 rose, it need heavy winter protection
to survive (even here in zone 7).
