A climbing sport of the excellent shrub rose "The Fairy" appeared a few years ago and it has proven to be a rampant (but outstanding) rose. It grows quite fast and has almost taken over an area along a fence in my front yard. The canes are thin and extremely pliant and the rose is easily trained. If I had it to do over again, I would plant it in an area where it could not intermingle with other plants because of its aggressiveness. The flowers are lovely and it re-blooms sporadically throughout the summer. Disease resistance is very good.
