The
Name of the Rose - Named
after a California doctor, AIDS advocate and artist.
The rose
grows in a tall upright habit and produces clusters of semi-double
pale pink buds which open to light blush and apricot accented with
bright gold stamens in the center. The blooms slowly open and become
looser with age until they resemble a single rose. The color fades
to pale white or soft pink but blooms remain on the bush for a long
period. Rebloom is very good with off and on blooms throughout the
summer. This one is quite vigorous and grows into a large (5 ft. x
5 ft) graceful arching shrub. Foliage is a glossy medium green. Disease
resistance has been good.
