The
Name of the Rose - Named after the oldest daughter of Louis
XVI and Marie Antionette.
I no
longer have this rose and I do miss it. It was such a refined beauty
in bloom but would immediately become disease ridden as hot weather
began. Also known as the "wax rose", it grows to about 4
feet high with equal width and has an arching habit. It only blooms
one time but when it does, it is spectacular! The blooms are a soft
shell pink that have a tendency to fade in harsh sunlight. I actually
received this rose as a substitute for another rose that I had ordered
and I did enjoy it while it lasted. Unfortunately, the entire plant
died one winter.
