The color
of Lafter is an unusual blend of salmon, yellow and pink.
The flowers are borne on a tall bush (4-5 ft.) that is somewhat lanky
and very thorny. It reblooms throughout the season (though it begins
to bloom later than other roses) and the fragrance is very good. It
seems to perform very well in the fall. In December of 2000, Lafter
had the distinction of being the only blooming rose in my garden.
It is truly a standout rose and commands attention. A disadvantage
is a tendency for blackspot.
