Culture - An easy to grow plant that is native to Texas
prairies and roadsides, this plant has many postiive attributes
including extreme hardiness, drought tolerance and ability to
withstand very hot and humid conditions. In fact, it does best
in really hot weather. Flowers surround a center seed cone and
actually resemble sombreros. It will perform best in average or
poor soil and will spread. Easily grown from seed.
