The
Name of the Rose - Named after the hybridizer's wife.
This
rose, raised by British hybridizer Benjamin R. Cant in 1901, has been
highly praised by rose growers throughout the southeastern United
States. Simply put, she loves the heat! Highly fragrant cupped silvery
pink blooms adorn large bushes that can grow to 8' x 8'. This would
make it a good choice for a hedge or specimen plant. Whatever you
do, don't put this rose in a confined space - it has to have room!
My plant
took several years to get off the ground but it now seems to be happy
and grows robustly. Blooms were stingy the first few years but now
I get a bush loaded with blossoms pretty much non-stop up until the
first frost. And the blooms in the fall are actually prettier than
the summer blooms. The fragrance is delicious.

she has been worth the wait! Easy to grow and vigorous, this is a
highly recommended rose - just be patient with her!
