This
rose was discovered in the garden of a 1750s plantation home near
Wilmington, North Carolina by Jackson M. Batchelor. The area
was settled by English and Scottish emigrants so it is possible the
rose originated from them. Petite Pink Scotch is a lovely
rose that blooms once a year. The long thin flexible canes are covered
with small thorns. It has a very graceful habit and will perform well
as a groundcover.
