This is a sport of F.J. Grootendorst and is similar to its parent except for the color of the blooms, which are clear pink. These plants make excellent landscape plants and are also suitable for hedges. They do not like to be sprayed (doing so will turn the leaves yellow) but disease is not that much of a problem.

The blooms appear on and off throughout the summer and resemble carnations. They have no fragrance but last several days in arrangements.
