This
is a large lax growing rose that is covered in early spring with delicate
pale pink blooms which are borne in clusters. An unusual characteristic
of the blooms is that they curve inward. The bush makes an attractive
cascading mound and can spread up to 6 or 8 feet. Fragrance is minimal
but the flowers are long lasting. This is not a disease resistant
rose and it is highly prone to both blackspot and powdery mildew.
I lost the rose when I unsuccessfully transplanted it. I won't try
it again because of the poor disease resistance factor but I do miss
it. There is a much photographed specimen of this rose growing next
to a pool in the rose garden at Mottisfont in England.
