An unforgettable sight when blooming, Cl. Pinkie is one of my favorite climbing roses. The flowers are bright pink, opening semi-double but they quickly loose their form to resemble a single rose. This is such a floriferous rose that is difficult to see the foliage when it is covered with blooms. I have it planted on a 7 ft. wrought iron archway near my driveway and on windy spring days, the strong fragrance is heavenly.

This is a vigorous and fast growing rose that can be used either as a climber or a cascading shrub. Disease resistance is not foolproof and it may need to be checked for blackspot as the summer progresses. New canes shoot up from the base of the plant and older canes should be cut out every year to maintain it. The new canes are thin and easy to work with.

This rose is a sport of the shrub rose Pinkie which grows 3' x 3'.
