This
is a large flowered hybrid musk with blooms that open a deep pink
with white centers and dotted with bronzy gold stamens. The large
blooms make a nice showing from a distance. A strong spring flowering
is followed by a few sparse blooms throughout the summer before another
showy display comes in the fall. It is a robust shrub (about 4 x 4)
with a somewhat ungainly habit that sometimes needs pruning to keep
it in shape. Fragrance is strong and musky. Disease resistance has
only been fair but my bush suffers from over-crowding. It would probably
be much happier with room to spread.
