Shrub Roses and Groudcovers
The
shrub roses and groundcovers are excellent roses in problem areas
such as slopes and banks. There are several nice cascading roses such
as Alba Meidiland and Sea Foam
(shown at right) that will blanket these areas in a very short time.
Other shrub roses (such as the floribundas) are less aggressive and
grow in an upright manner and are more suitable for the border or
as specimen plants. Some do well as modest hedges. This is a diverse
group of roses and there are many excellent choices here.
