A fast growing, hardy rose that can be used as either a shrub rose or a climber, Westerland is a unique and popular rose. The colors of the blooms are amazing - a mixture of orange, pink, apricot and gold in my garden - but color may vary according to climate. The blooms seem to have an inner glow when the sunlight hits them. It is an exceptionally healthy and vigorous rose and disease resistance seems to be good. In just one year, it has formed a 4 x 4 mound in my garden.

'Autumn Sunset' is a paler sport.
